Premium Members Tom Wills Posted September 27, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 27, 2011 My Decimator has been solid with everything I've sent it - from EX1s to REDs. The HDMI out is really a nice touch, and it's quite cheap for what it does.
Adam Eden
Decimator 2 is awesome. Never misses a beat and works with everything I feed it... Including the RED EPIC M

Premium Members Edvard Friis-Moeller DFF Posted September 28, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 28, 2011 I have both, and definitely prefer the decimator. The Aja is a piece of kit built to live somewhere in a studio environment, and while the signal you get from it is really precise it it really sensitive regarding voltage requirements. The decimator on the other hand has never failed me once - just make certain to order a couple of the power connectors they use as they are non-standard (at least around here)
Moderators Louis Puli SOC Posted September 28, 2011 Moderators Report Share Posted September 28, 2011 For me some things are just made right from the start .It's one bit of kit that saves me time and works every time .For me it's the Decimator. Premium Members Jay Kim Posted September 28, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 28, 2011 Decimator two. Not just for Down-converting but also for HD-SDI to HDMI.
