Premium Members Norbert von der Heidt Posted September 29, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 29, 2011 Hi all, I've just bought a sled that has 12-24v capability so don't need this power up-converter anymore. I'd bought it used some time ago but haven't even used it myself, it looks so clean I'm sure it hasn't seen much service. It's about $800USD new and I'm looking for $400USD + shipping to where ever you are. Marell - MPC1426 The "On Rig" Converter for 14V Batteries Designed specifically for 12-14V body mounted camera stabilisation operators that need to film using the modern high performance camera systems that require 26V or more to operate properly. This unit allows the powering of any standard 24V camera (including the ARRI 435 etc) and has enough in reserve to allow high film speed and cold starting with fresh batteries. Attractively packaged, the MPC1426 has a status indicator that allows monitoring of Battery and converter operation, and also shows error conditions, should a cable go faulty, or the battery is flat. Please note that the MPC1426 provides a regulated 26V supply to the Camera, which is ground referenced. This was on my Master Broadcast and held either a Transvideo Cinemonitor IIIa or a Boland 8'4 HD, both with Transvideo mount slider attached. Original cost was about $1100AUD a few years ago so looking for $500USD + shipping now. NOTE: The only real change I can see is that the new version's monitor mount swivel plate is flat so you don't need to spend extra money for a slider. It's easy enough to have the channel walls machined off this one if you want.
