Premium Members Hiroe Tanno Posted October 12, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 12, 2011 Looking for a rough guide with regard to pricing for the following equipment I am looking to sell. • Steadicam A3 - original condition. • Steadicam vest - well used but totally functional • Steadicam Arm - Patent 4S4 G Brown Equipment was originally used with Aaton XTR Prod and Arri IIIC and BL Series cameras. The sled (It's a 3A) Isn't worth much these days since you're pretty much going to throw it away in order to update it todays standards, since the sled houses the high voltage tripler for the 3.5" (Yes 3.5") green screen, the other issue with this sled is that it's still using the old style 13.2 volt batteries which are not great. then of course there is the wiring of the sled, no internal up the post wiring no 24V and no SDI With this setup what you really are selling is a gimbal, suit and arm Not knowing the condition of the arm and gimbal makes pricing difficult. There are two other 3A's for sale at $7200 and $7500 and they have more accessories My best guess is south of not much maybe $6000..... Its also going to be one the request people are going to ask to get the arm checked out. I have have bought two 3A arm and I always have him take a look at it first.
