Premium Members Joe Broderick Posted February 2, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 2, 2005 Call me old school but does anyone have the connector for a PRO to GV-U5 video/power connector? I disassembled mine (because of interference) and need to have it repaired but I don't know which way the pins reallign. I'm interested in either buying one or at least looking at one so I can figure out the pin configuration to have mine repaired. Also, does anyone have a line on a vendor for 90 degree 2.5mm a/v connectors for one of those HD based recorders? I had a RCA Lyca but returned it because of the poor quality and slow menu system. Apex has a similar system out: http://www.apexdigitalinc.com/proddetail.a...nenumber=13&c=8 it also uses a 2.5mm A/V connector. Both systems include an A/V cable when purchsed but they are straight. The Apex features a Divx codec option which I would thing is better quality Thanx Joe Broderick joebrod@hotmail.com
Premium Members charlesneufeld Posted February 3, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 3, 2005 Hi Joe, Where are you located?? I have picked up 2.5mm right angle jacks from radio shack...not the best price around, but convenient. If you have time, look at Mouser,Digikey..etc otherwise drop by a local RS. However these larger distributors have a minimum order amount. Good Luck! ~C
Premium Members Joe Broderick Posted February 3, 2005 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted February 3, 2005 C, These new 2.5mm (the same size as cell phone headphone jacks) connectors are 4 contacts: Stereo(L&R) Video, & Ground. The only A/V cables I've seen at RS are 3.5mm. I thought about using a 3 connector 2.5mm but the contacts don't line up correctly
