Premium Members Hugo_Langer Posted February 5, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 5, 2005 Just a quick mention for future operators starting out who are looking for their first arm. From time to time, amongst the many recent model arms we receive, we receive earlier model CP arms which are in the lower price bracket. These may be of value to aspiring operators new to the industry. For those of you who have a small startup buget you may find these arms to be a good starting point. Occassionally we will be putting these on ebay for auction. Currently we have this arm up for auction at ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3872288079&rd=1 This may be a great opportunity for you to own a reasonable priced arm. mattshort
What's the reserve price on it and will it work with an SK2?
Premium Members Hugo_Langer Posted February 8, 2005 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted February 8, 2005 Hi, Matt Thanks for the questions. As this is an auction it is normal practice not to disclose the reserve, but it is a very reasonable reserve for this item. ;) Regarding the sk2, this arm will not fit the sk2. You would need to change the socket block to a stardard socket block. Thanks, Dean.

LeighWanstead
Sorry little off topic and just to satisfy my curiosity. May I ask why spring need to be gold? What is the reason? Is whole spring gold? Or just paint gold? I thought that spring made of titanium will be lighter and more durable. Is that gold just for decorative? TIA Leigh

Premium Members Hugo_Langer Posted March 26, 2005 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted March 26, 2005 Hi Leigh. Just to answer your question, Cinema Products made arms with different coloured springs to identify the various weight ranges. And yes, the springs were painted in the different colours. The colours and appproximate weight ranges were: Red 18-38 lbs Green 20-40 lbs Blue 25-45 lbs Black 30-51 lbs Gold 36-58 lbs All the best, Hugo Langer Rig Engineering Australia Pty Ltd www.steadyrig.com admin@steadyrig.com tel: +61 3 9898 6298 fax: +61 3 9898 6218

Richard James Lewis
Dean, I hope these ebay postings are going to continue, as I will be looking for my first arm in the coming few months. Is this something that you will keep doing or are you just selling a few arms?
Premium Members Hugo_Langer Posted April 19, 2005 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 19, 2005 Hi Richard, To answer your question, over the last several months we have been working our butts off behind the scenes on some exciting new products and as a result decided to shed some our second hand arms quickly to fund these projects. As you could see we let them go for a fraction of their value and operators have had some really good bargains. We have fully funded our projects now and will be scaling down our sales on ebay (or increasing the reserve to meet more realistic prices). We have some beautifully reconditioned arms in stock and if you would like to make a purchase please contact us for a chat and I am sure we can find something in stock to suit your needs. Kind Regards, Dean A. Merlo Rig Engineering Australia Pty Ltd www.steadyrig.com admin@steadyrig.com +61 3 9898 6298
