Hyperdeck Mounting

We just got one, as soon as the mounting plate comes out we are going to pick one up and try and slap a v-mount lock on it so we can pop it on and off camera/back of my monitor quickly.

I can't find details of the weight yet but it's aircraft aluminum with lots of holes drilled through it, so I doubt it will weigh much at all, and I figure because the archer 1 could always do with a bit more weight up front behind the monitor, it will probably feel a little nicer balanced because of it.

Turns out the plate weighs 5lbs. I'm having my CNC guy make a X bracket that will accomodate a Vdock assembly or any type of 3/8 16 hole.

Nice job Brant. My rigs a little different so I'll probably side mount mine.

ERIC..........thanks for the news flash! Velcro...I've heard of that stuff.

I'll take some pics one I get it configured.

Ramon do you mean 0.5lbs or 5lbs?

Just that 5lbs seems a hell of a lot of weight for such a small plate made out of aluminum with lots of holes in it?

Also I haven't been able to find specs for it anywhere online and they're not in stock over here in England yet, can you get hold of them in America already?
