Premium Members Charles Papert Posted February 7, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 Perhaps Madamoiselle Pouty as seen on that web page might have some tips! She sure seems at home. Interesting looking rig. Best of luck finding assistance with it, Lemar.

LeighWanstead
Hi Lemar, Why not join a workshop? Regards Leigh
Premium Members Bill Powers Posted February 7, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 Yes. Workshop, Workshop.... Good idea. My favorite pictures of models in rigs are: This year's Digital Video Expo West mailer and magazine adds. It pictures the operator with one eye closed and another in the viewfinder. Priceless!. The other is the picture of the guy on the original ProVid brochure, bent right knee and stepped out as far as he can with his left leg. Lean back and tilt up. Hold that shot! Cheers,
Lemar
The problem is, I am situated in Greece, where there are no workshops. Stuff are on a self taught manner here, or from people who learned the tricks of the trade by attending workshops abroad. That is something I cannot do, at the moment. If there could be any other help, like how to set it up, any useful advice, or any site to recommend me, you would be making me a big favour. Either way thanx in advance Lemar

Tery Thompson
Lemar, It looks like a nice rig. You would benefit greatly from the video Charles P. is preparing to do and which will be applicable to most full sized stabilizers I believe. (I hope he will be able to get it done this year!) Once you know how to operate one rig well, you should be able to do others also. Kind of like a car, there might be many different bells and whistles but the operation should be similar. I have the Advanced Steadicam Techniques tape and it explains many "advanced" techniques. Unfortunately I haven't seen a similar tape for "Beginning Steadicam Techniques". This is where Charles' video will really help out. He is excellent in his writing and I expect he'll be excellent in his video instruction. The web page showing some of his Steadicam shots is found here: http://www.demoreelnetwork.com/view/index....ze=large&reel=2] Tery
