The results are great, but its kind of dangerous to be honest. The corners with the stairs are the tricly parts of the run. ( there are 4 corners wit stairs ) The space you get is tight, the bigger space you get the more it shows a gap on the techno crane, so its limited. It was a challenge, where i found that its easy to push the limits, you want to go as fast as possible. And going fast around the corners, means its very hard to keep your horizon while turning at that speed. Plus that you need your eyes on the road. Premium Members Tomas Riuka Posted November 9, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted November 9, 2011 The trickiest part is having eyes on the road and keeping the horizon and framing, actually you end up doing to that just 'by the feel of hand' as most of the time you have to follow road for obstacles. Pretty scary ... When i first realised a year ago how complicted and risky it is, made me think that it's not a free time ride in the city.. If you get your eyes of the monitor while zooming that close, and turning around the corner, i can assure you its way to difficult and dangerous as hell. While working it was sort of ok, your in some kind of flo with the intercom and stuff going on. But before every song you keep spacing in your head, scared to tip your wheel over one of the stairs in the corner. it worked, but cant reccomend it in this setting. WOuld be better with more space. Anyhow, we did 2 days with 24 battle songs. Used the segway around 50% of the time, and i am still ok. Just wanted to let you know that we let us easy ( to easy ) push our limits. Recently did a 2 full days of segway/3D work on a football feild and that is just very tricky because in certain camera positions (hardmounted) you only have maybe 1 cm before some part of your sled or camera hits either your steadiarm or the segway.....so you constantly threading the needle and looking at monitor/framing, looking at you surroundings/players/actors and looking to check your clearences so you don't bump your sled and ruin the shot.... segway shooting is definately not as easy as one might think at first glance!
