Premium Members John Buzz Moyer Posted July 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 14, 2013 Just a side note... Eric is one of those actors who understands the process and is very aware of the camera operators job. Notice how smoothly and carefully he stands up after grabbing the radio at the end. His starts and stops are in pace with movement of the camera allowing the operator to be in the right spot for the continuation of shot. Having worked with Eric the last 6 weeks, it cant be said strongly enough that without a savvy actor, some of great shots we all love would not be so great. And the ones that could have, just weren't. That was an exceptional example of Direction, Blocking, and performance by the actors and operator.
Premium Members RonBaldwin Posted July 16, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 Buzz is 100% right -- a simple shot can be so easily thwarted by a clueless actor. With so many actors today that have no idea who all those people are siting around on set watching them, it is a real treat to work with a pro (or at least someone who cares and tries).
