Using a Camera Light

Hello everybody,

I have a question, depending the use of a camera light (bebop or dedo light) on top of the camera.

Does anybody have a solution, how to lower or raise the light wireless? I mean it is possible to use the main unit of my follow focus system with a standalone hand unit but that is extremely expensive and I just wondered if there is any other possibility?

Best regards, Steve

By raise / lower do you mean up and down physically or dimming?

Either way you'd likely need a motor of some sort.

Most tally lights have the ability to dim up and down based on a photo sensor of sorts (electronics are not my expertise) but that tally signal usually comes from a truck via Triax or fiber cable.

Maybe you could get something like a thumbwheel potentiometer similar to what Bartech has for self controlling motors from your gimbal and mount that on your gimbal to dial down the brightness if dimming is what you are after. If not an LED light though you'll have a color shift.
