Premium Members Gary Litwin Posted December 23, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2011 Hi All, Looking for your feedback.... Many of the comments and posts on the forum often speak to smaller DayBrite monitors. Is there a need for larger units? I ask because we are considering building a 10" prototype, with true high briteness (probably around 1500 nts, like out 8.4" model, but smaller than our 12"). Do you have need for such a beast? Thanks, Gary
Premium Members Caleb Ennis Posted December 23, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2011 10" is way to big for a Steadicam. Your eyes would have to do to much scanning, and be to bulky... Maybe good for a field/director monitor tho.
Premium Members Robert Starling SOC Posted December 23, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2011 Jib and remote head ops need large high bright monitors as do those of us who do aerials. Robert
Premium Members chris bangma Posted December 23, 2011 Premium Members Report Share Posted December 23, 2011 Robert, You will have to check out our 12.1" monitor next time you are in our shop.
Premium Members Gary Litwin Posted January 3, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted January 3, 2012 Thanks Robert and Caleb. That's pretty much the sentiment that I /we hear a lot of...just wanted to be sure. We already make a special 12" jib model, and recently ran some 20" wide DayBrites for a jib/crane client. Appreciate the feedback..... :-)
