1000 dolla sounds good for me too... shipping back and forth to Glendale and leaving the arm away for at least 3 weeks sounds less good instead...

do Tiffen offer a solution for us european ops as well?

I'm not that luky I can take an holiday to LA, even if tax deductable...

Me too... I'm quite curious and I really would like to know how can we european ops deal with a 3/4 weeks stop for a bearings change, could it be done in UK or even better at Cartoni in Italy? Would be a great service from Tiffen and I think we deserve it. Let us know because otherwise I can't bear that long stop without a substitute.

Hi Matteo

As I have mentioned to you in our direct personal e-mails 1/yes you will feel an improvement 2/the arm needs to go to the factory because there is machining involved and 3/if you go that route you will get a 1 year back to base warranty from the date that it is done.

ok Robin, still remain the pain of a 4 weeks stop and a shipping that's gonna cost more then the repair, so bringing the final cost to something around 2000, here at Cartoni there's a very good guy (named Alessandro) who can for sure machine the arm, why don't you send me just the bearings and I'll take care of mounting them?

thanks for your replying.

I really would like to get that mail Sanjay and have a smile at my perfect slow walks with my new bearings.

Indeed Robin has already offered to do this for me, but I am UK based so it's arguably a little easier.

I think it's a pretty good deal and when my arm is due for a service I will definitely be taking him up on it.

Yes it sucks to have the arm away for so long, but you are basically getting an almost all new arm in terms of performance for what is effectively the cost of a full service.

I don't think we could ask for much of a better deal really.
