Ron Michael
I noticed that after I lock the lower arms with the single lock screw by tightening it, I can still push/pull them. This became apparent, when horizontal balancing the gimbal and the battery arm slid out. Anybody else having issues with the lower locking mechanism not really locking well? Premium Members Wan Zhong Wei Posted January 17, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 17, 2012 Hi Ron, Are you referring to the 3 screws at the base of the sled? The 2 smaller screws are the registration pins that prevents the rods from sliding out too much, or going all the way out from the post. notice that the individual rods have like different sections for the pins to get in. The bigger screw on the other side will clamp down both the rods, and holding them in place, do ensure that the particular large screw is locked down, that should help. hope that helps! cheers zw
Ron Michael
Yes the big locking screw does not securely hold both arms as advertised. You can still push pull them even when cranked tight. It offers some resistance but not a lot.

Ron Michael
Thanks Wan and Mark, I did contact Mike Craigs and he is sending out some replacement parts. He thought it might be a slight undersized part. Edited January 19, 2012 by Ron Michael
