Premium Members Haris Pallas Posted January 18, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 18, 2012 Hallo fellow-operators, Do you happen to know any company in Europe that makes a weight plate or thin block with screw holes to go under the cameras for balance reasons only? There was a great one from www.opticalsupport.co.uk that weighted 2,2Kg and had 15mm rods but they don't have it in their new site... Any help would be appreciated because without one I cant use my new arm... Thank you, - Haris -

Thank you, - Haris - Haris, Three, quick solutions for you: One, buy the AB battery plate and mount that on the bottom of your sled and just use an extra battery for weight or Two, just go to any aluminum warehouse or any machine shop and have them cut a piece of scrap for you and then just drill the holes, have it anodized later. Three, Steve Fracol, makes a great weight plate for the bottom of the sled that has adjustable amounts Hope that helps
Premium Members Matthew Fleischmann Posted January 18, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 18, 2012 Hey this is not in Europe but I use a weight cage that was built by Janice Arthur (look her up on the forum) I have a 6 pound and and 11 pound plate with 8inch rods that I use with my Archer2 and G50 arm, Janice sells all sorts of combinations of plates and I am sure she can ship internationally. I believe her email is steadijan@hotmail.com Hope this helps.

Premium Members Nic Owens Posted January 18, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 18, 2012 +1 for Janice's weight cage. It's a fantastic way to add extra weight to the top stage and is versatile as a cage ( great for DSLR's). She shipped mine to Sydney, Australia. Premium Members Rob Vuona SOC Posted January 18, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 18, 2012 woops, I guess I misunderstood your needs, I was under the impression you needed extra weight on the bottom of the sled. sorry
Premium Members Phil Thomas Posted January 20, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 20, 2012 Hi, I went to my local university and got one of the students in the engineering department to make one for me out of a block of steel. That's always an option. Phil
Premium Members Haris Pallas Posted January 20, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted January 20, 2012 Thanks guyz... I appreciate your fast responce! I already have a high/low mode cage and I like it much. Janice's weight plates look excellent - thumbs up Janice! - but the weight and price of the items to ship and tax from USA to Greece makes it almost twice the price. I used to have a steel block cut by my mechanist but it's too large in profile for only 2kg of weight and there is no place to anodize it here in Thessaloniki!! I actually found the one opticalsupport.co.uk have and also the one by Varizoom which is black, quite thin and 4.5kg - very convenient for DSLR's... P.S: Rob,no problem of course!..I was about to mention that!!...Haha! Thank you all again, - Haris -
