Premium Members Jerry Holway Posted February 29, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 29, 2012 All words are made up at some point. The word isoelastic was used in a US patent TITLE way back in 1961, and it was used in the engineering sense that we of the Steadicam community use it and have used it since 1995, when Ed DiGuilio used it in an arm patent. I don't know if those inventors "invented" the term or not, or if it was used in engineering before that, but, who cares? Language isn't dead... Regardless, IT IS NOT FRICTION, for goodness sake, but, in other words, a low force curve, so let's end this nonsense. Kudos to the operators at these shows and their skills, which is what all this should be about. Jerry

Jerry Thanks, Jerry. That's exactly what I was thinking when I started to read all of the replies. This post isn't about the gear, it's about the operators.
