You may have already seen this video but, man oh man, can't wait to get my hands on one of these baby's.

 

 

 

Looks like he read the patent for the basic concept. Doing it in that manner (IF you can build the l bracket stiff enough) is far superior to the ring system that howard uses

Whether or not this guy saw Lynn's Patent, I can not say, but there really is nothing new here. I remember asking my mentor, Charles Papert back in the early 1990s why we could not place the camera inside a fish-bowl shaped gimbal and put that on the Steadicam. He merely chuckled and answered others had thought of that and the trick was making it work!

Several have tried that type of system (including Tiffen) but it has tons of disadvantages compared to a roll based system. It's sole advantage s simplicity and low ost

Sorry if you all thought this was a serious post, but I was being utterly sarcastic. I'm aware of Lynn Nicholson's superior invention, but I just found this clip very funny, especially the low to high mode execution. Cracked me up.
