Remember what I said about respecting the forum that you are in essence a guest of. You might read Richard Lewis's post again.

...and remember that the guys here will be peers throughout one's career (if you are really serious about it).

Hello;

You've just come home from your first day of kindergarten and expected your mom to hang your picture on the frig and make over it but u stepped into the PhD program on stabilization.

We aren't going to be that impressed.

We welcome u but you're in the wrong audience

Here is the blatant truth. We all have hours upon hours of practice footage, the difference is... No one here would ever post it. The only reason I would post it is if I was having an issue with a move that I practiced for hours and hours that I still wasn't getting any better at. At that point I might, just might post it and a video of my technique to get a crit. I'd still rather beat my head against a wall and cry myself to sleep before posting for these guys to crit and I have been at it for 3 years practicing everyday I can. I might post a reel before the end of the month, it is one that I am very proud to show the people who are hiring me, but I am still not at the point where I would be proud enough to show it to the guys and gals here who have been doing it for far longer.

I guess after reading through - my advice is not to treat this place as a video game forum or someplace to incite negative responses from people. This place is a great resource to read and observe what pros out there are doing. Maybe its worth while to just read through for a bit from the side lines. Your post may have been differently received if you would have commented underneath it with something like: " Hey guys just wanted to share some footage of me trying out my rig. Any thoughts on how it looks - I am having a hard time with start/stop inertia carrying the rig." I realize you didn't ask my advice but as someone who is new as well I just wanted to share my thoughts. Even though I have been operating a year (still a newbie, I realize) I still feel like there are lots of nuances to learn. My desire is to continue to educate myself and being aloud to observe in a place where pros are working is an amazing opportunity and I don't want other new operators to suffer because there is a lack of respect from some.
