Premium Members Remi Tournois / SOC Posted March 24, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 This Pro II monitor is needing repair. It turns on and works great for about 10 minutes then it overheats and shuts off. Pro-Gpi estimates the repair up to $6000. Will look for the original repair description. Screen has a slight blemish at bottom right corner but it doesn't affect the image. So if anyone is interested to get it fix or use it for parts...make me an offer. Also selling the brand new rain cover and 2 pieces sunshade... make me an offer.
Premium Members Remi Tournois / SOC Posted April 4, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 4, 2012 Couldn't find the original repair estimate but had to do with low and/or high voltage power supply.
Premium Members Remi Tournois / SOC Posted October 21, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted October 21, 2012 Pro 2 monitor and rain cover still for sale. Jack at Pro/GPI looked at the monitor in August 2012 , it's financially not worst fixing but it's good for parts if you already have a similar unit. Rain cover is like new. Thank you

Premium Members Osvaldo Silvera SOC Posted June 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 20, 2013 If it's any consolation Remi, I purchased Dan Kneeces old Pro monitor on ebay (from someone else not Dan) last year for like $40, not working, only because ...it was under $40!, will make a great conversation piece one day. I would have thought someone would have purchased the rain cover from you at least! What monitor did you get to replace it back when it stopped working? Premium Members Remi Tournois / SOC Posted June 20, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted June 20, 2013 Ozzie, $40, yes these monitors have definitely gone out of style...we'll miss them. So far I've replaced it with a TB-6 but I feel an HD monitor coming up soon.
Premium Members Osvaldo Silvera SOC Posted June 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted June 20, 2013 I truly believe if there was a cost effective way to feed these older models a straight HDSDI signal straight into the monitor they would still be pretty common. For brightness in the south florida sun, nothing I've used has beat the tube green screens. Looking forward to a Cinetronic though!
