Hello,

I am new to Merlin, and I found that my footstep is recorded

Would it be the problem of my handling?

That just looks like you need practice. The common misconception of Steadicam systems is that they just work out of the box. If you search through the forums, you will see this thread being brought up again and again. All I can say to you, is that you need to practice, take some lessons, read, etc. I hope this helps.

Your operating will not be perfect the very first time. Just keep practicing. Over time, you will start to learn what you need to do to make your shots better, and what you need to stop doing that have been making them worse. For example, If you see a bounce in your shot, bend your knees and stop walking with a bounce in your stride.

Learn everything you can about how your gear works, and keep practicing.

Thanks for your help Mr. Rencher, in our local forum, newbies post also keep repeating, however not many wish to share the technique.

It is weird that if I run instead of walk when using merlin, bouncing up and down with foot step will somehow smaller.

Anyway, nice to meet you, and thank you very much.

Hi Mr Smollar, thanks for you tips, I'll try that.

It is easy to learn how to adjust the balance and drop time, but quite difficult in control the framing in action. Seems my arm need more exercise. This 5 lbs weight makes me stop after a just few minutes.

Hope that my poor english is not disturbing. Thanks you very much.
