While it seems like a good idea, I see some "Helpful" grip putting it on a camera or something and blowing something.

You'll need to put giant "ONLY FOR CAMERA DEPOT USE! PLEASE DON'T TOUCH!" stickers on it.

The pin out location is different between 12v and 24v.

It just won't power, nor burn anything if you slap it on 12v only camera.

You need a converter adapter in between if you want to use it.

Cheers,

Ken Nguyen.

Grips don't put batteries on cameras. and with an Alexa it doesn't matter, the camera doesn't care

They're not supposed to. Sometimes, you get a grip or PA who thinks they know how to use a camera.

They're no longer my friend... It took them 2 minutes alone with a camera to mess it up, it took me 20 minutes to figure out what they did.

I need to start going on more union shoots...

Take2, ICE films and FAVA Rental all use those VLock 24v batteries. Not only is there a swapped pin situation but I'm pretty sure there is also a little plastic blank thingy that stops you from being able to put the battery onto the wrong plate.

They are great batteries. Would you be able to use them on the bottom of an XCS? Off course you'd need the correct plate etc. but could u feed an XCS 24v?

Take2 have even had their WEVI's converted to 24v with Reel Power plates front and back.

Yes you can. The XCS Ultimate and th Ultimate 1 can take up to 36 volts input .

I used these Batteries on a Alexa for quite a few days and they worked very well and quite a few hours.

The only issues I have with them is that Qantas only allows you to carry 160wh batteries on board. A Important thing consider when buying batteries. What are other airlines battery restrictions .
