Premium Members Frederic Chamberland Posted August 22, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 22, 2012 Hi John, Got my Atlas arm today and can't be happier (serial number 13....) I'll fly it starting tomorrow on my show (SyFy's Being Human) and your offer to fly the Atlas on your sled inspired me to do the same here in Montreal some time soon for others to experience it. You seem to have a blast on the stage of SYTYCD . great work. Fly safe, Frederic

That could be fun, but if all you guys show up I will have to rent a catering truck! I will give you a call to see what we can set up. An Atlas arm with a Phantom sled...interesting combo! Andrew thanks for your feedback also. I've been hearing the same things from other users. It will be a hard decision indeed, but i'm tring to scrape up some extra cash. Premium Members Thomas English Posted August 31, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 Do you think they are going to update/replace the Titan? With a new model?
Premium Members William Demeritt Posted August 31, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 Thomas, why would they? The grey canisters work in the Titan arm, and they still drastically increase the lift capability while maintaining the same standards for performance. What could they do to better it that hasn't been considered and probably shot down in the last decade?
Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted August 31, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 No they will not be changing the Titan arm.
Premium Members Thomas English Posted August 31, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 William, I was thinking about the additional boom range they have managed to implement on the Atlas.
Premium Members William Demeritt Posted August 31, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 William, I was thinking about the additional boom range they have managed to implement on the Atlas. True, good point. I'd be curious to hear the same. My post came off somewhat challenging upon re-reading it; not my intention. Sorry about that! Moderators Alec Jarnagin SOC Posted August 31, 2012 Moderators Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 Everyone keeps talking about the "increased boom range." If there is one, it is very minimal. I own both arms and can't say I see a difference. No changes are planned for the Titan.
