Premium Members chris bangma Posted July 9, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 9, 2012 I build the Cinetronic monitors, and am a 600 member, so I guess you could say the Cinetronic monitors are union made.

Premium Members Sanjay Sami Posted July 11, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 i was thinking about this the other day... Do any of our steadicam manufacturers use Union labor? rich You mean camera union or a machinists union ? I think it would be unusual for camera crew to be working in the manufacturing world ... I suppose Chris is an exception, but thats possibly because he is the developer of the monitor. I cant imagine he employs local 600 members to manufacture the monitor. Premium Members Rich Cottrell Posted July 11, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted July 11, 2012 I was thinking more along the lines of say a union made car vs a non union made car... if an IATSE600 member also makes steadicam equipment that would not make that equipment "Union Made" unless they are working under a contract that covers that construction/manufacturing. I was thinking more about machinists and electricians. For a small shop my guess is NO, but when that small shop has things made for them, do any use Union Contractors?
