I just received my new Cinetronic 6.5"But I can't fix the monitor to the rods that the standard Tiffen monitor comes with.Does any of you Cinetronic owners have your monitor monted on a Clipper? Is there a standard mount or do I need to make something myself?

I don't have an answer, however I was wondering how to attach the cinetronic to the ultra 1 hardware. I'm guessing it'd be similair, if not the same setup as the clipper. hopefully someone has some insight.

I got an email from Chris from Cinetronic. And they have no brackets to mount the monitor to my Clipper 312.And I don't want to drill holes in the original bracket, so now I will have my machinist make a new bracket, that goes on to the monitor rods. I'll post some pictures, when it's finished.

XCS, PRO and Transvideo (and others probably) all make monitor mounts that accept the standard spud that's on the Cinetronic yoke. XCS's is completely universal - just indicate what size post you have. I'm not sure if PRO's new monitor mount is 1.5" only or not. Transvideo's is specific for the Master Series... may or may not work with the Ultra 1.

Hey Afton, Awesome, I don't know why I wasn't putting that together in my head, I have an MK-V custom mount on my ultra that I usually mount my hummingbird on, as well as your old CRT. It will take that standard spud, and It's more rigid than the ultrabrite mount too. Problem solved. Thanks

Thanks Afton, but none of them seems to make anything for the clipper3's lower post diameter.

So I will be making my own next week.

Any idea how to make this smartes

Thomas

If XCS truly doesn't make a sleeve that would accommodate your post, you could just make your own sleeve. Bring your post out to a compatible diameter and then get one of these mounts. Would be much easier to make the sleeve than the whole mount.

Look here. I have one that I can mount onto the monitor rods. I got it to fly the transvideo 3D monitor. I also use it to mount a TV logic 5.6" for a program monitor.

They make a bracket that has a 1/4-20 screw. I believe that is on the bottom of the cinetronic monitor.

If you want a yoke then I think you have to make something.

What mount did you refer to?Is this the one to get? http://www.transvideo.eu/en/Bridge-76-16

It looks like it does take the standard spud?Is this one going to work with the Clippers monitorrods?

Thomas :-)
