It is made of the same square steel tubing used to make trailer hitches and is very strong. No problem to throw a strap around this and pull a truck! This picture shows the angle from horizontal coming out of the hitch receiver to vertical with the foot pegs and the reinforcement flange. TJ Williams Posted March 26, 2005 Author Report Share Posted March 26, 2005 Here is the middle of the vertical post with the 2" center holes which allow mounting the plate which holds the steadicam mount. TJ Williams Posted March 26, 2005 Author Report Share Posted March 26, 2005 Here is the top of the post which shows the tennis ball mounted to the inner post which adjusts to keep the van rear lid up. The welded on nut and its bolt are similiar to the one added to the side of the hitch receptical to keep the mount from moving. also resting up against the top of the van on top tends to keep it from movement.
