Derek Pueblo
I bought a used Flyer about 6 months ago, which has been great and has improved my operating several fold already. During rehearsal for a shot last week one of the pieces (I'm not sure what it's called, a ball bearing maybe?) popped off. I realized then that I was missing a few washers. The arm also has one joint that is a bit gnarled, but still works. That's how it was when I bought it, but I got it on the cheap. Although I'd like to just scrap this rig and spring for a better set up, I'm not in a position financially to do so yet. So I'd like to see about getting this arm fixed. Is there a place I could send it? And does anyone have a guess about how much said repair might run me? Thank you! In searching other posts on the forum I found this email address to Derek Hester: dhester@tiffen.com , and I emailed him today. Unfortunately I don't know enough about the names of the parts to know whether they're ball bearings or something else that I'm asking about. Hopefully these pictures post. If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it greatly. Facebook Photo Album
Nelson Villamil
Hi I had a similar problem with a flyer arm (gray), some of these bearings also damaged. although the arrangement could be made locally, it was not easy to get the exact diameter must have to fit into the hole. I can only tell you to contact Dan Ikeda,( dikeda@tiffen.com ) and / or Michael Craigs (mcraigs@tiffen.com ) direct to the factory. All the best.
