Premium Members William Demeritt Posted August 29, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 Very cool. Early quick question: is the gen 1 monitor yoke compatible with the gen 2 monitor? Or do you get any kind of deal for returning the gen 1 yoke towards a gen 2 yoke? Premium Members Andrew Ansnick Posted August 29, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 Ditto to what Will already asked. In addition, I couldn't help but notice you didn't mention the price of the Gen 2 - 6.5" 4:3 monitors. What is various prices/options/compatibility of yokes for those of us with this version? Also, are you able to quote the turnaround time for upgrades (from time of receipt of gen 1 to shipment of upgraded gen 2)?
Premium Members James Puli Posted August 29, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 Also wondering wether your level sensor will be available for and or work with the Gen 1 monitors?
Premium Members chris bangma Posted August 29, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 The gen 1 monitor yoke will not fit a gen 2. The two monitors differ greatly in size. The level sensor will only work with the Gen 2. There may be a 4:3 option later, but initially only the 7" 16:9 monitor will be available. Turn around time for the upgrade will be 1-2 days, since it will be a straight swap for a new monitor.

Premium Members Afton Grant Posted August 29, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 Any pictures and description of exactly what's been done in the Gen 2? Does the upgrade include the level sensor and yoke?
Premium Members William Demeritt Posted August 29, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 I have a 4:3 monitor. If I upgrade now, does that mean I have to get a 16:9? Or am I not eligible until the 4:3 gen 2 is announced? Looking forward to seeing pictures!

No 4:3 initially, you would be upgrading to 16:
Premium Members chris bangma Posted August 29, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 The level sensor and yoke are separate, the price for the level sensor is reduced for upgrade customers. Any pictures and description of exactly what's been done in the Gen 2? Does the upgrade include the level sensor and yoke?
Premium Members Frederic Chamberland Posted August 29, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted August 29, 2012 I would also wait for the 6.5 ... But it seems not to be on the drawing board right now . Only reason I bought the 6.5 was to have the level "under" my image in the black bars but if for any reason , this won't be feasable with the gen 2 , i'll just jump on the 7" wagon . My real question is : what will Eric do ? Cheers Frederic
