Premium Members John E Fry Posted September 7, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 7, 2012 Hi all. So it seems the Phantom perhaps was too scary a name for a Steadicam, so instead what appears to be the same rig is now called the Shadow series. Does anyone know what the differences are between the Phantoms & the 'new' Shadows? Literature seems almost identical. And perhaps someone knows what prompted the name change? Is it just a renaming for some copyright issue, or do the Shadows represent a markedly different or improved take on the Phantom design? Many thanks! kurt nolen
are they naming them after 1930's comic book/ radio characters? because I see a trend.... Maybe they'll do Mandrake or a Flash model in the future.
