Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted September 18, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted September 18, 2012 Hi, I am getting more and more interested in steadicam and just shot my fourth music video, this time for Three Days Grace (RCA records) with Scarlet on a Zephyr. I am loving working with this tool and I am seriously looking into getting a rig of my own (I am currently renting, which is less than ideal) I am curious about larger sleds (Clipper, Archer, Shadow, Ultra...), mostly to fly an Alexa with all the needed gear. I don't really know where to look for to try them out and see for myself. Thank you for your help. Victor L.

I forgot to mention that I already took the workshop in NYC, which covered the Pilot, Scout and Zephyr...

Moderators Janice Arthur Posted September 20, 2012 Moderators Report Share Posted September 20, 2012 Victor On your US taxes u can list business expenses such as trips involving work and the $ totals are reduced from your income from that year. Your total taxes due to be paid are less This is a very common deduction and certainly justifiable. You are in research for equipment and meeting fellow operators etc Keep food, travel, rental car receipts Have a great time looking its like Christmas ! Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted September 21, 2012 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted September 21, 2012 Thanks, I will consider this. It is a big investment for me and might take me a bit to fihure it all out. I would hate to get an inappropriate equipment, either over kill or under. You are right it is like Christmas, only on Xmas, it's Santa who brings you the presents ... Right? ;) Victor On your US taxes u can list business expenses such as trips involving work and the $ totals are reduced from your income from that year.
