Elliot Gabor
What is the thread size of the pilot weights? Wondering if I can adapt them to 3/8"
Premium Members Tom Wills Posted October 11, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 11, 2012 The thread size is 15/32" x 32 TPI, from the measurements I took once for a project. It's quite the oddball thread - a tap for that size is $41.00. Why would you want to adapt them to 3/8"?
Elliot Gabor
I have weights that already have a 3/8" thread and it would be pretty easy to thread random gear to shift around weight as needed. Do you know what type of metal is used in the weights? I've always wondered. I usually buy copper for its density/price point.
