Josh Tyron
Hi Everyone, I have been flying an old SK system. I just recently upgraded to a used provid arm. I am curious about what the safe operating range of my gimbal is. My old arm was rated up to 19 pounds. With the new arm I have read between 26-28 pounds. Am I asking for trouble or is there a little head room with these gimbals? Thank you in advance for any input. Josh
Premium Members Haris Pallas Posted October 14, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 14, 2012 Hallo Josh, The SK2 was my previous rig. I put up to an Arri SR3 with its video assist, wireless focus and video transmission + a 5kg weight plate to the bottom so that I could have the gimbal centered and above... We are talking about 15kg on the gimbal....no problem at all. Hope I helped a bit, - Haris -
Premium Members James Elias Posted October 23, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 23, 2012 Don't quote me on it, but I think the SK and ProVid gimbals were the same anyway.
