Kyriacos, I've decided with some spare time this weekend to make a video review - properly. I'll have to pull a few resources together. I'm sure you've looked through the company website and seen all the photos at least. Is there anything specific you'd like for the review to focus on?

Hey Zoltan, thaks for your response...basically i would love to see it in action...check how the system responses, noise of the motors in quick focus racks, the response of the motors on cine lenses cause the main issue is to have a system that can be responsive and strong enough for kind of all lenses...i'm following the system since the 2 version but unfortunatelly i didn't manage to decide yet cause new systems are constantly coming up to the surface. FYI i'm between RTmotion, AXIS1, Heden Carrat and maybe Chrosziel Magnum. Downside for me is because i'm in Cyprus i cannot rent the systems and have a try before i buy them. I used bartech with the digital receiver and M-One motor and i'm not happy.

Hi Kyriacos, I completely understand your dilemma. I made a move on the RTMotion without the benefit of peer review. I'm in the midst of gathering some resources for a proper video review. I'm hoping to spend tomorrow with the shoot and edit. It may have to happen next weekend depending on equipment availability. I'll show the motor in action, but I won't be able to directly compare it to the other systems you mention. You'll have to judge for yourself from whatever footage I can put out.

Hi Kyriakos,

I'm Haris from Thessaloniki and I'm a disappointed ex - RT Motion owner. If you want to buy a wireless follow focus, go with the ones that have great customer service even if they are not top brands.

I once waited for just an answer for over 6 months from RTMotion...for one freaking answer!! Of course by the time they finally responded, I already had sold the kit!

So Axis 1 or Heden Carat is my opinion and of course Bartech (analog or digital).

PM me if you need anything more.

- Haris -

I had a terrible customer service experience with RTMotion, I had put in an order and couldn't even get a sales response after multiple emails over a month.. Customer service is a sometimes overlooked but important feature of investing in any bit of gear.. I ended up going with heden carat which is fantastic for single chan for 90%of jobs, other jobs cross hire a preston..

I actually ended up ordering one, but had an inquiry about the transaction invoice.. After no response for a while, I canceled my order (which actually never went through) and bought a preston. I'm bummed though, was hoping I could try out this new system.
