Premium Members Martin Stacey Posted October 31, 2012 Premium Members Report Share Posted October 31, 2012 Hi Thomas, Get to a local engineer an get them to take get a sheet of plate steel and weld a 2 1/4" pipe to it with a bolt running through it. then get a 2" pipe to feed through it to give you a riser. If you can't hard Mount I would go soft mount . The driver you must be able to trust 110%. I would never trust $20 ratchets holding my hard mount in place .Do you have grips helping you ? Is a standard polaris (as pictured) front grill strong enough to sit on and.hard mount off. The local grip rekons it's fine. And the back grill? I wonder what they are rated to. how much counterweight should I put the other side? looks like we are going forward.and backwards. i imagine the suspension is going to bottom out. ive heard.rumour of a gator nearby. Might try and look at that for the higher speed rear facing off road stuff. again thanks! amazing this forum when your stuck abroad hoping for wifi on your phone ! I would go hard mount. Get the Grips to rig a speed rail grid for you and go off it. Quads flip over in the sand. It happens, and I've seen it happen. Better not have the rig on you if that happens.
