Best way to mount Preston FIZ / mdr onto zephyr?

Sorry for any obvious answers. This is my first time using a preston unit. And I figured I would rent it out for the shoot so I could get accustomed to using it in the future.

 

I will be renting out a preston fiz package in two weeks, and I wanted to know the best way to mount the mdr onto a Zephyr. In the past I've velcro'd a BDR to the camera

 

Any ideas or reccommendations. A search came up with nothing on the forum.

I use 2M Dualock velcro (much stronger) right under the stage. It's a bit messy when docking (i usually leave just enougn room for the docking bravket to fit) but it gets the job done. Otherwise on the camera like you did before.

Hi all I am reviving this thread, I know I gave an answer, but does anyone have a better solution?

The MDR doesn't have to be mounted to the sled, it can be mounted to the camera as well which may or may not have more surface area.

I haven't used a preston, but could it mount onto 15mm rails?

I ended up using some brackets that came with the kit to screw to the mdr and mounted onto the rods.
