Alec: are you trying to use the splitter from the first post? It's basically just a passive splitter, slightly better than a glorified T-barrel splitter. I'm not 100% certain, but I would be concerned that these kind of passive splitters would change the resistance and possibly introduce issues. Perhaps the Boxx dislikes 37.5ohm resistance instead of the expected 75ohm of HD-SDI?

I've used the active reclocking amplifier I posted above with a few setups (I think including a Boxx Meridian) and it worked well.

Hi All, I've recently obtained a passive splitter from DSMB technology ( www.dsmbtech.com ) and it works great. I got the 3G video version for use up to 1080p model WS275B. They also do a HD version for less than 100 bucks. I tested this unit thoroughly and it is immune to incorrect termination. Don't know how they manage it. You can short one output, leave it unterminated, or terminate it incorrectly and the other output is hardly affected. Jitter response is good even with pathalogical patterns. The one I got goes from 3G video all the way down to AES audio bit rates. This means I only need one splitter for all my broadcast signals.
