Cinetronics New Monitor mount and Gen2 Monitor

Last week I tested the new Cinetronics Monitor mount which now includes the Post clamp and like everything that Cinetroncs and Skipps Engineering produce it's excellent. Lightweight and stiff with some new and innovative features. The mount is universal and will fit on any center post that is 2" diameter or less by use of inserts that unlike other inserts are retained via a screw so no longer will an insert spin or fall out.

 

 

Then there is the new Yoke clamp block that has been completely redesigned and now is better, stronger, faster to use and provides better clamping power. It's VERY stiff yet still light weight (very important since it's just carry structure) It's uses a Hexagonal mounting bar so that now you have four heights that can rotate the monitor arms to change the monitors height.

But you may have noticed the monitor, Yes that is the new Generation 2 Cinetronic 7" monitor. All I have to say about this monitor is BUY IT. there is nothing brighter, higher resolution or better looking out there. Put it on your rig and you'll never take it off, one word of warning, everyone onset will now want to be around you looking at the image on it. It's AMAZING looking.

 

It's also small and light weight (you can weight it up with weight plates, batteries or recorder backs)

 

 

 

Not only is it narrower (You hear that Lisagav boy, yeah you Baldwin!) but it's MUCH Thinner

For those of us with a Cinetronic yoke for our gen 1, can we "upgrade" the yoke to suit the gen 2? Looks like just the crossbar and clamp changed for gen 1 owners.

How does this Cinetronics setup feel for low mode with the cinetronics monitor? Do u just tilt your monitor?

Yes it uses the PRO standard Spigot, so you can use anything with a PRO Standard Spigot.

What are the monitor spec's? I believe you if you say high bright, but can you let me know some numbers? Is it multiformat? Ntsc/pal? HDsdi, SDsdi, etc etc?Would love to hear some more.

Pretty much everything changed, so no parts cross over between the two yokes.

The monitor uses the standard XCS spigot, so you can use any monitor with a Pro / XCS spigot with it. We of course would like you to use our monitor, but you are open to put whatever you want on it. This will be an item sold separately from our monitors.

Feature set is pretty much the same as the old one but now with frame lines and level (if you buy the level option) high bright.... Nothing and I mean nothing is brighter than this. Best looking hd image I've ever seen on a LCD, indoors and out

You could take the end stops off of the rods, then just loosen the clamp, slide the rods out, flip it over, and slide them back in. We tried to keep pivot points and adjustments to a minimum, since these can often get bumped, cause the monitor to shift, and throw off the balance. We will also make a version to use with the Cinetronic monitor, which eliminates the pivot from the yoke spigot.
