7D A/V-out to BNC

Hey guys,

 

I'm trying to run my Canon 7D on my new Flyer LE. Do I need to buy this stock cable and use an adaptor (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-AVC-DC400-Interface-PowerShot-Cameras/dp/B001L658L8)

--or is there a more efficient/direct cable that if does not exist someone could make for me?

will work better for you. I have Flyer LE as well and I have been working with DSLR. This cable work well. you just need this

Alternatively, you can run an HDMI to a Blackmagic or AJA HDMI to HD-SDI converter (Only if you have an HD Monitor).

I usually forego HD with DSLR gigs and just use the composite SD feed. Never cuts out, way less finicky, and gets the job done when the camera fights you.

I guess it depends on the specific camera. The 5D switches to standard def. when recording, but the D800 / D600 stay HD.
