Steadicam Clipper 24 Rig, UB2 monitor G50 arm

Putting up for sale my Tiffen Steadicam Clipper 24 rig. Typically fly Alexa, Epic, Red MX with primes or short zooms. Have flown Arri SR3. This is a great first full size rig.

RGB to HD-SDI, BNC to Lemo cables- had these made, but still couldn't run HD-SDI through sled.

I ended up running a new home run from the stage to the bottom of the sled. The post can be fully extended without binding. Attached a BNC end to plastic bracket, velcro'd to back of stage. It was a semi temporary solution but works great. Fully reversible if you don't like it. The other option was to have Tiffen engineers design and build a new wiring loom. Still an option if you want to go the $$$ route.

The original Tiffen artificial horizon board does not work and is not repairable (according to Tiffen) for lack of components.

 

G-50 Arm

New springs and spring seats were installed summer 2011. The arm had a squeak, and apparently the solution was the change the spring seat material, which also necessitated new titanium springs (so they seat properly?). The arm is much quieter now. The oxide coating on some of the bolt heads have started to show surface rust. Haven't replaced them yet, as it's mostly cosmetic.

 

Ultrabrite 2 monitor

Purchased a demo unit from Tiffen two years ago. Great industry specific monitor. Takes me about 20 seconds to go into low mode- auto flip on monitor.
