Premium Members chris bangma Posted January 8, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 8, 2013 I know updates have been rather slow from us lately. Just trying to resolve things and get things moving. When I took this project on, I never realized what it would take to get this done. Lately I feel a disorganized film set runs with far more speed and precision than corporate america. Needless to say, the end is in sight! We have the final boards arriving in the next 2 weeks and will start assembly (with the correct boards no less). I wish to thank everyone for their support despite the ever slipping dates I have promised. Thanks for bearing with me and helping us to work through this. Since the end is in sight, that also means the pre-order program will be coming to an end as well. January 31st will be the last day for the pre-order. If you have been sitting on the fence, now is the time to place that order, at the discounted price. February will mark the beginning of full production, and we should start to have the monitors ready on the shelf toward the end of the month. In the end this has taken far longer and far more money than anyone anticipated, but we have made in through. Not sure if we would have taken all this on, if we knew what we were in for. We have domne many things people said couldnt be done, or were too big for a company of our size to take on, but we pushed through an did it anyways. Many times this resulted in us drifting out into uncharted teritory, and forcing us to to do things in house, since we couldnt not rely on other companies to do it. 2013 will bring even more of this as we expand and bring even more of the manufacturing in house. Watch for more big updates to come soon.....
Richard James Lewis
Great news Chris! Very excited to know it will all soon be coming together. Do you have any pictures or further information on the exterior digital bubble sensor at all? Best, Rick.

Premium Members Gregory Dillard Posted January 11, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 Will this monitor and their yoke work with the ZEPHYR, or would that be considered overkill?
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted January 11, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 Not the same bracket for the zephyr and I guess it would be a bit overkill.

Premium Members Robert Starling SOC Posted January 29, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted January 29, 2013 I had lunch with and a tour of the new facility with Chris and Mike last week... WOW !!! All I can say is come see me at NAB this year in the Angenieux booth for a demo of the Optimo Compact Zooms. With the new Cinetronic you'll see exactly how fantastic the Optimo's really are! Premium Members chris bangma Posted February 2, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted February 2, 2013 The first 10 monitors will be assembled in the next week, and we should be building 10 or so per week. Shipments will start soon, we have just completed a move to a new facility, and have been out of touch for a little while, since we were switching phone lines over, moving offices etc.
Premium Members John Joyce Posted February 2, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 2, 2013 Was able to take a look at a friends 1st Gen 16:9 Cinetronic monitor for the 1st time last week. I was feeding it a std def signal from my PRO sled using a Arricam LT. The picture quality was very good even with the low def signal and the monitor seemed to be very well made with an intuitive menu. The image remained very consistent when moving the monitor in a panning motion, but when tilting I noticed a big falloff in the angle of view ability. Does anyone know if the 2nd Gen monitor has the same issues when tilting? Thanks, John Joyce
Premium Members Eric Fletcher S.O.C. Posted February 2, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 2, 2013 but when tilting I noticed a big falloff in the angle of view ability. Was the monitor tabled or did you have it at a 45 degree angle? Tabled you will have no drop off in performance. On the Gen 1 it's designed so that the talent can't see the image when it's tabled
