I was viewing the monitor with a slight tilt up from a flat tabled position ( maybe 10-15 degrees) and when tilting the sled the image became difficult to see at the extreme tilt positions.

Was wondering if the 2nd gen monitor has the same characteristics?

Thanks

John

In direct overhead sunlight with the monitor laying flat on the ground I've been able to walk completely around it from 10 ft back and still see a good working image from every angle.

I know it's been a long wait for everyone but Chris and Mike are dedicated to producing the ultimate monitor for us. It's been a much longer road than they expected chronologically and financially for them. Where most if not all monitors use off the shelf components throughout, Chris and Mike found that those components simply didn't withstand or perform at the levels they aspired to. The same goes for suppliers, parts vendors, programmers and engineers. Their current vendor support system plus the new facility will resolve that and bring most of processes in-house.

Please bare in mind and remember all the stabilizer product vendors that have come and gone over the years; so many over-promising and under delivering. The ones who have stuck and provide top level, no-excuses products and support like Bartech, Preston, Anton-Bauer, XCS, PRO, Transvideo, Klassen, Hill Products, Cine Widgets, Lentiquip (Canatrans), Cramped Attic and a handful of others didn't just poop out products overnight and most if not all of them had to bring primary design and manufacturing in-house. They were worth the wait and have stood the test of time. In your interest and the interest of a quality product that delivers and lasts, Chris and Mike have spent extraordinary amounts of their own money (no loans) to do the same.

My apology to any of the other great companies (and you know who you are) that I inadvertently forgot to mention but I'm still not quite through my first few sips of espresso this morning. ;-)

Have a lovely day and please come say hi to me in the Angenieux booth at NAB.
