Premium Members Chris Hood Posted April 27, 2005 Premium Members Report Share Posted April 27, 2005 Just wondering where I might find some 3/8 " camera mounting screws. I need something slightly longer than the ARRI and Moviecam lengths. Roughly 3/4" in length. I'm in Los Angeles and I've tried GPI. George only has the short sizes. Thanks, Chris Hood

Thanks, Chris Hood <{POST_SNAPBACK}> McMaster-Carr Since I'm using the XCS dovetails I have been using 3/8-16 Allen Head SS Bolts. Much cheaper then buying from a GPI or the like. You might even find Post clamps for $3 and docking collars for $8 at McMaster-Carr
Premium Members Chris Hood Posted April 28, 2005 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted April 28, 2005 nchopp, I have not had luck with regular hardware stores, or the big box stores. I need a screw head that is only 1/8" in height to fit in my camera plates. Eric, I actually have a couple XCS plates and I use the allens for the large plate. I really like those things. Slots=GOOD. I need a couple of longer screws for my shallow plates. Looked through Mcmaster/Carr recently, didn't find the right one however. Any other leads? Thanks again, Chris
