Interesting to see the change over to the 2B connector for camera power. I wonder if this, along with some more chunky wiring internally is the way the film sleds from PRO are all heading...?

I am interested in this question as well.. I am currently in the market for center post, electronics & battery base. I was set on ProHD until this came out..

Any idea when pro will announce pricing? CineGear?

For live work we power the camera from the truck unless we're wireless but PRO was smart enough to offer some power options for versatility. If the 2B power connectors are wired the same, this means guys using Tiffen sleds can easilty switch without having to buy new cables too...smart! The same goes for the Hirose connectors. However, not all live ops use Hirose as there's quite a few of us doing live with XCS rigs. I'm not a big fan of Hirose connectors in general but it's a very minor issue. It would be nice to be able to specify your connector preferences but it would probably not be very practical for manufacturing. That is something I'd be willing to pay for as a custom upgrade though.

Can't wait to see it and fly it!

Something else I suspected but just confirmed about all PRO products:

** MADE IN THE USA **

PRO components are invented, 3D modeled, programmed, machined, tumbled, anodized, engraved, assembled, wired and inspected within 15 miles of GPI PRO !!!

I too was at the shop today and all I'll say is that PRO has fired up the afterburners... They have embraced modularity, no longer do you buy different sized rigs to taylor your rig to the job, now you swap in a different module onto your core modules, same for growing your career. The tiffen concept of buying four or five complete rigs as you grow as an operator is now gone.

Oh and a little Birdie told me that you may very well be able to see the new Rig in April at NAB.... More details to follow
