I saw a DIY of this using a cigaret lighter car USB plug. You can also power anything with a car plug.

I use a 4 pin xlr to a cig lighter/usb plug in to charge off the batteries on the dolly when I shoot. Works great!

I kind of want a plate on the back of my phone case now. Snap a dionic 160 on it and I'll be making slightly cumbersome phone calls for up to 15 hours*

Shouldn't be that hard to make with a car charger cable. If you're going to make one, just be really careful not to fry your phone and test it with a fresh off the charger battery. If it would blow at any point, it would be then.

Erwin, that looks remarkably like the ones I used to make. I still have and use one, and it still works great. There seems to be a lot more elegant solutions out there now, so I probably won't make any more.

I would love that vieuwfactor dtap plug, but it has been out of stock for ages now

The only issue with the Viewfactor plug is it's a micro USB, so you'd need an adapter between the regular iPhone cable and the plug itself.
