Premium Members Steve Acheson Posted February 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 http://www.viewfactor.net/products/ptap-usb.html Pretty easy to make your own though...
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted February 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 I saw a DIY of this using a cigaret lighter car USB plug. You can also power anything with a car plug.
Premium Members Mark Schlicher Posted February 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 The Paralinx P-tap cable also works (and is sold separately from the Arrow).
Premium Members Richard W. Davis Posted February 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 I use a 4 pin xlr to a cig lighter/usb plug in to charge off the batteries on the dolly when I shoot. Works great! Premium Members David M. Aronson Posted February 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 I kind of want a plate on the back of my phone case now. Snap a dionic 160 on it and I'll be making slightly cumbersome phone calls for up to 15 hours* Shouldn't be that hard to make with a car charger cable. If you're going to make one, just be really careful not to fry your phone and test it with a fresh off the charger battery. If it would blow at any point, it would be then. *with brightness at 50% in well covered areas.
Premium Members James Puli Posted February 9, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 Afton used to make iPhone to d-tap! Not sure if he does them any more or not! Been meaning to get one for ages!

Premium Members Erwin Landau Posted February 25, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 That cable was a gift from a friend of mine... Works very nicely!!!
Premium Members Afton Grant Posted February 26, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 26, 2013 Erwin, that looks remarkably like the ones I used to make. I still have and use one, and it still works great. There seems to be a lot more elegant solutions out there now, so I probably won't make any more. Premium Members JobScholtze Posted March 1, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 I would love that vieuwfactor dtap plug, but it has been out of stock for ages now
Premium Members Afton Grant Posted March 1, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 1, 2013 The only issue with the Viewfactor plug is it's a micro USB, so you'd need an adapter between the regular iPhone cable and the plug itself. Evrim KAYA
This might be interesting: A sandwich v-mount plate with 4 interchangeable USB or D-tap output modules that goes between the sled and the battery. https://www.paguk.com/content/paglink-powerhub
Premium Members Kyle Wullschleger Posted March 2, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 2, 2013 Thanks for the heads up on that little beauty of a product Evrim - that is exactly what I want. I just decided to invest in the PAG linking V-mounts and this piece fits what I need exactly.
