Premium Members Daniel Stilling DFF Posted February 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 14, 2013 I just purchased a second BDR for the Iris Slider I got for my Bartech handset, when I, with big surprise, realized that it is an all new version of the BDR. On the outside it looks the same, except for the markings and the front panel, that now has buttons that you can actualy press with your fingers. Now the cool new things are under the hood: the calibration now lasts for 45min after power off, you can set the torque with much ease, and, in case you are working with lenses that turn forever, you can manually set the ends, just like the analog BFD. And, in a great side effect of getting the iris slider, your system turns into a 16 bit resolution system. Smoother... The BDR was already great, but it now is even better... Moderators Louis Puli SOC Posted February 14, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted February 14, 2013 I have been using the dual system with the new receivers (Focus and Iris in the handset) for a few months now and all I can say is that it is just another fantastic upgrade from a great team Jim and Marcus (PLC) Well done guys . Premium Members Philip J. Martinez SOC Posted February 28, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 Can you still use the Gimbal mount hard wire focus module remote?
Premium Members Daniel Stilling DFF Posted February 28, 2013 Author Premium Members Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 Here's the link to the V2 http://www.plcelectronicsolutions.com/products/fSTOP-Wireless-V2%252d1-BarTech-Receiver.html Phillip, with the BDR you have not been able to use the little focus wheel, but Marc told me he is working on a solution for that. Premium Members Joel San Juan Posted February 28, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 28, 2013 Thanks Daniel. It sure looks sweet. Apparently its not upgradeable as its a total different hardware configuration too. Bummer. Its definitely great to have that manual calibration like the BFDs. Fly safe. J.
