Premium Members Claus Stuhlweissenburg Posted February 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 Has anyone replaced their foam padding for a pro, master or klassen vest and if so what type of foam did you buy and where
Premium Members Victor Lazaro Posted February 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 Have you contacted the maker of the vest for replacement padding. Which vest are you looking into re-padding?
Premium Members Michael Maga Posted February 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 I thought about it, but both Pro and Klassen sell replacement pads for their vests.. you might want to check with the manufacturer of your specific vest. The prices are not too bad when you consider the price of the vest. Last time I checked I think it was around 5-600, and that was with them fitting the padding to my size. Premium Members JamieSilverstein Posted February 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 I can only speak for Klassen vests, but the contours of the pads alone would keep me from doing the job myself. Just my 2¢. Hi Claus! Jamie
Premium Members Andrew Ansnick Posted February 20, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 20, 2013 If you have a PRO vest, call Michelle @ GPI for a quote. I had my pads replaced about a year and a half ago. It was around $500-$600, well worth it for the proper fitting, proper density pads. Plus I got all new hardware, not because I needed it, but because that's just the kind of service you get from them.
Premium Members Peter Abraham Posted February 21, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 21, 2013 The memory foam being used on the new Exovest conforms nicely to my upper back / shoulder blades. Perhaps a layer of that.
