Moderators Louis Puli SOC Posted February 24, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted February 24, 2013 Hi Juan May I say I had this problem with Don some time ago But I contacted him 2 weeks ago and sent him one of my clients M1's and he has turned it around and my motor is on it way home this week .I think what ever problems Don had are now in the past (I hope)and he is repairing more motors quickly. Like you I have 2 other clients who have motors issues which I will be sending Don as soon as I receive this one back .2 to 3 days turn around thanks Don . Don is not great at emailing ok .Keep phoning
Moderators Janice Arthur Posted February 24, 2013 Moderators Report Share Posted February 24, 2013 Louis; I'd say Don has to get a track record going of consistent service before we pronounce it solved. I've heard this for many years now and he goes missing for a while then surfaces to deal with motors. We all are a sympathetic bunch but lets not let him off the hook endlessly. I don't have his motor and one of the reasons I considered was this thread of spotty/bad service that has been here for quite a while A while back it was, I got the impression, larger issues so I'm understanding but he's got to start fixing this issue for good. I wish him only success but we still need someone else who can fix motors, maybe even Don would enjoy the break from this part of his business which seems to give him problems. Premium Members Peter Hoare Posted February 24, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted February 24, 2013 Anyone in the UK or Europe, im happy to have a look, I can almost certainly source the spare potentiometer and have the facilities to machine and modify to suit. If its a problem with worn out gears, obviously I could not replace those as they won't be standard parts, but id be happy to have a look and see. If Don wanted to supply us with spares id be happy to service these motors for him in the UK and europe if that helps. Pete.
