Hi,

I was looking into all the available high brightness monitors for steadicam on the market and created this list:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aln7iPn_kB2sdHowWElqVk1HWlRkdjgxcjJKN01XRGc&usp=sharing

Feel free to add any info or monitor into the list, I'm sure I'm missing a few.

PS: I had a look at the new TV Logic one yesterday at AbelCine in NY and it looked great.

Hi Victor

good list thanks for that

I saw the new TVlogic offering and although I have their older 7" that I think is brilliant but not the brightness star in the galaxy :) I didnt think much of the new one

I think your list might need an indication of resolution too please some of the brighter offerings are not full HD

All best

joe

No problem. Also, I am only looking in the HD monitors.

Other new surprising monitor is the Sony DVF-L700, it's actually a 7" "viewfinder" for the F5/F55 but is full HD screen and can decode 4k signals. I don't know the vrightness but il looked pretty high when I saw it (I was indoors and at night...). It has a "high" button to toggle the high brightness.

Other wise it is pretty good in color rendition and has a dedicated plug for the newF cameras to communicate as a EVF. Oh, and it's $4,500.

I'm thinking that the Small HD will be amazing. Dale says that they will be adding an AR coating, but I'm not sure if they're going with a bonded screen. Luckily, I locked in the $2,699 price with my pre-order before they up'ed it to $2,999. I'll be waiting until that monitor is finalized before moving forward with any purchases.

Thanks for the shout out Brant! Your model - HD84LDB-P, has 170 degrees off axis, vertical and horizontal. Also, Eric above makes a good point about anti-reflective coating (which this model includes) and CR. And, with an optional power reg, this model can handle between 9-36 volts. BTW - it's 1500 nts and rez is 1024x768. $500 off now due to post NAB special....

Nice! What is the normal retail price for it?
