Worthy Competitor to Boxx Meridien

Just wondering if there are any HD transmitters in the pipeline that can compete with the Boxx. By this I mean equal to or greater level of performance. After using the Boxx for a year with almost zero issues with reliability, range and functionality, I'm convinced it's the best unit out there. I'm aware of the Teradeks, Arrows, Paralinx and other current HD transmitters, but in my humble opinion, all are still inferior to the Boxx. Is there anything out there (or on the way) that we can say is at least on the same level or higher?

Tricky part with this sort of query is, as I have said before, that specific conditions are the wild card. Unless units are tested over the same conditions one after another (not simultaneously as interference can affect the outcome), across multiple environments, it's a tough call. I'm sure this thread will invite plenty of enthusiastic responses like "I bought the X and it's been great" but that's not the answer to this specific question.

One thing I can suggest is that the particular design of the Boxx system to introduce noise into the image before it loses it, and to regain signal quickly after it is lost, is a definite improvement over most of the competitors I've seen, where they will more suddenly blank out without warning and take longer to re-link.

One of these days we'll get that head-to-head test going...Baldwin, when you back in town?!

I just tested the CW7 from IDX and was really impressed. Especially because it has a low and high power button on the TX. If video have an issue its just a question of probably reducing the power and boom.. perfect picture.

Breakup was good as well (didn't loose the signal)
