Premium Members Pascal Combes-Knoke Posted March 14, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 14, 2013 My Flyer LE just received a power surge and subsequently, my 7" SD Composite monitor vertically compresses/squeezes the image, when I am in my desired "full" (16:9) mode. HOWEVER, when I I switch the monitor to "normal" (4:3) mode the compression disappears as it letter boxes the sides, showing my 16:9 image at a smaller than desired size. There is also a high pitch humming sound when powered on and additionally there is a subtle white pulse every second or two (only pulsing when there is no signal). Before the surge I could use all 7" of my screen to frame and now I have 4" or 5" since I have to use it in "full" mode. I'm guessing this monitor is beyond repair but i'm just very curious as to why it is acting this way. Thoughts? Does anyone have an extra Flyer monitor for sale? Premium Members Adam Smith Posted March 23, 2013 Premium Members Report Share Posted March 23, 2013 That's stange Pascal. I currently have the same problem right now. No high pitch hum though. I get the flicker too. However I don't think it is the monitor, I have a back up and I have the same problem with that one. -Adam
