What shawn doesn't realize is that we have the steadicam's and we will have access to the movi's that he so desperately wants, but because of his behavior here he will never have. Not only is the steadicam community one of people willing to go out of their way to help, its also a community with a long memory...

He doesn't care if he ever sees a Movi or not. He knows he will never hold a Movi or steadicam ... he is a frustrated truck driver who wants to be an operator ... Leave him alone, don't distract him while he is driving.

Just to add some fuel to the fire, look what I found on youtube:

I know this design is under patent and I'm not saying that I like this way of copying or the inconsistent headroom due to the small inertia on the camera length side. What I have in mind is a 3 or 2 axis setup for very precise tracking shots.

back in 2004 or 05 Coptervision put their remote operated gimbal up on a steadicam much like the broomstick genius is claiming to have been the first to conceive, they found out it didn't work so great to have two people fighting to get a shot. If it did work decently don't you think you would have seen this in the intervening 9 years? None of this is new territory folks

I like the MK-V Fusion design as much as I like Russian Arms or Cineflex-Systems. But I also like if a nice gadged is within my range of building. That's how I made my steadicam and also my cablecam system. None of that is new or havn't been there before but it's still nice to build and use these things.

I think that the MK-V Fusion design is far superior to something like the movie for those kind of shots : http://s444984590.websitehome.co.uk/omega/?page_id=139

Pretty not great shot on that website, all sorts of issues

I was thinking that, too. What's with people not using perfect shots to sell their products?

I think that the message people here are trying to get across is that no one here is opposed to technological advancements or innovations. In this business people keep inventing new products or modifying existing products to come up with new tools.

Why would we not embrace a new tool that expands our arsenal of weapons on set ?

When the Technocrane first came out, it was revolutionary ... no one thought that this piece of gear is going to put us out of work. We thought that this is tool that will make our life easier.

Contrary to what Shawn believes, the more complex a tool becomes - and the Movi on Steadicam is a lot more complex than a good old Steadicam - the more critical it is to have crew who know what they are doing.

Ask anyone who has had a Technocrane on track with novice Grips ... your life will be made miserable. Try coordinating Pickle operator, Arm operator, Chassis operator and Camera operator. It is not easy, but when done by seasoned professionals, can be beautiful.

The same will be true of running a Movi on Steadicam. There will be issues to be sorted out, and maybe they will be, and maybe they will not ... I personally do not see the benefit of the system, but that is my private opinion, and maybe I am wrong, as I have been in the past.

Your obnoxious attitude may have gotten a response from us, but believe me, not ONE of the operators who are responding here are threatened by it.

If all you are going to do is slap a GoPro on and run around your yard chasing your dog - go ahead.

But in the market that most operators on this forum are in, its not the weekend hobbyist who is going to take our place ... much as the average guy on Reduser might like to believe.

When, and if, this makes it to the market - we will be the guys operating it.

Long lens work with a Movi? nope not gonna happen

You and too many others don't understand what the position of STEADICAM OPERATOR actually is...

This means you suck. Do you suck?...

I've never really had a roll axis issue, can say the same for the tilt axis...

For the love of god, NO YOU DON'T GET IT...

You have no idea how a set works, you have no idea what a DP does. You have no idea what a Operator does...

Seriously, don't let the door hit you in the ass...

The problem is YOU...

You don't have a leg to stand on...

And furthermore rant, rave, etc...

two things, 100mm's isn't that long of a lens and secondly don't get used to posting here much more, your time on our forum is limited

I know you hate my guts and all, but can't you at least be fair about it? You said:

"Long lens work with a Movi? Nope not gonna happen".

Not only was I right, but I even found a long lens Movi shot to prove it.

You instantly belittled that with:

"100mm's isn't that long of a lens and secondly don't get used to posting here much more, your time on our forum is limited"

Oh, WOW Eric. What are you gonna do? Take away my allowance?

Wrong again.

100mm on the Black Magic equals to 240mm on a full frame DSLR.

But you already knew that didn't you.

I don't know what you hate more. The fact that I make valid points which you immediately have to stomp out with a psychotic vengeance, or the fact that my comebacks are just so much more creative than yours.
